New developments a big hit at St Columba’s

11/03/2009

With a newly completed toilet block and a new school fence being installed, St Columba’s Leichhardt North is quickly moving forward. 'Parents and community members will be pleasantly surprised with the changes taking place at St Columba’s. Our new fence allows passers-by to see the wonderful outdoor space we have,' says school principal, Dianne Monaghan.

'Technology is also amongst the new improvements, with three smartboards in operation and a new computer system being trialled.' St Columba’s sets high academic expectations and takes pride in student’s individual and collective performances. With a strong focus on numeracy and literacy, students are encouraged to achieve in a caring environment.

St Columba’s is a small school and thus each student receives individual attention. A family atmosphere allows the school community to flourish, with parents, teachers and parishioners contributing to the ongoing success of St Columba’s. 'We had a tremendous response to our open day on 9 March and we were able to showcase the excellent teaching facilities our school offers. I invite parents and community members who were unable to attend our Open Day to organise a tour during Catholic School’s Week,' says Miss Monaghan.

Parents and community members who missed the school’s open day are invited to visit the school during Catholic Schools Week (22-28 March). To organise a school tour during Catholic Schools Week, please contact St Columba’s directly on tel 9569 1270.
