To demonstrate “Learning in Action” this week Good Samaritan Catholic College, Hinchinbrook, students took part in a Mathematics Guessing Competition.

This event allowed students from Years 7-12 utilise their estimation skills whilst solving a series of mathematical tasks.

Students applied their knowledge of 'real world' mathematics to assess the mass of everyday items.

Students were able to demonstrate their ability to estimate areas of sporting fields and solve problems involving consumer arithmetic.
