Image: Freeman Catholic College's Dynamic Learning Environment - Year 12 Retreat |
Freeman is a dynamic learning environment. The events of our Camp-Retreat Week certainly ensure that Learning in Action is a high priority at Freeman Catholic College.
We had 1230 students involved in a week of activities and the conduct, cooperation and participation of students was outstanding. Such programs cannot operate without the support of generous and committed staff who are prepared to leave their families over a number of nights in support of the students. This Year 12 Retreat has given us a great start to the year and has put not only the HSC into perspective for us, but life in general as well. In the famous words of Cesare Pavese, ( from The Burning Brand ) “ We do not remember days; we remember moments”; and I think I can safely say on behalf of Year 12, that the Year 12 Retreat is something we shall never fail to remember. | 28/03/2008 1 item

Minibeasts galore at Holy Spirit! Year 3 had some very unusual visitors recently when TRAVELBUGS visited the school. To bring the Science and Technology unit to life children got up close and personal with some very cool bugs! A definite favourite was the variety of stick insects some bigger than the children's hands. |
