Carroll College is located on 12 hectares of land amidst extensive tracts of natural bushland within walking distance of Broulee Beach. St. Bernard's School, Batehaven, St. Mary's Primary School, Moruya and Carroll College Broulee provide a Kindergarten to Year 12 Catholic Education pathway on the coast. The three schools are celebrating Catholic Schools' Week on Wednesday, 2 April 2008 with visits between the schools. Carroll College students are participating in reading and numeracy programs at the two primary schools. Carroll College is hosting a special program with opportunities for year 6 students to participate in a cooking, art, computer technology, graphic design, agriculture and physical activities.

Image: Year 5 and 6 dig for gold at St Francis Xaviers Arncliffe

Year 5 and 6 of St Francis Xaviers Arncliffe recently went to Bathurst to learn about life in the goldfields. Each student had the opportunity to try their luck at panning for gold. We all came to realise how difficult finding gold really was. Children experienced first hand life on the goldfields - living quarters, a blacksmith shop and learning how to work equipment used to mine gold.
